Aside from Business Values desire to promote spiritual intelligence, another advocacy was born in the middle of Sonnie’s lecture on brand management. He thought why not educate parents on cyber safety to help them keep their kids safe online? He presented his thoughts among his facebook buddies and offer of support came in, and the rest is history.
On July 10, 2010, more or less 60 parents with their kids showed up and listened to the lectures, watched videos, shared experiences and laughed together.
The power of social web and volunteerism in display. People who don’t know each other personally but connected thru Facebook and twitter, joined forces to advance one of the worthy projects in Philippine Cyber history. Recognizing the digital divide between the x and y generations, and parents and kids, Business Values 2.0 has partnered with individuals and organizations to bridge the gap thru seminars for parents.
What started as an idea has become a reality. And this is just the beginning… If time and resources permit and an opportunity presents itself, this seminar will be brought to schools and home associations when possible.
The next schedule will be on Aug 14, 2010, 3 PM at Victory Greenhills Center, Upper Level, Promenade, Greenhills Shopping Center, San Juan City.
If interested please request for a seat at reservations[at]websafetyforparents[dot]org and we will send you a confirmation email.
